New lighting set-up!

Ok ok lah just got myself a new lighting set-up that I bought in Glorietta earlier. I need to post this today coz I'm so excited to try it out! Haha

I tried to make it look like studio-quality pics. But it still doesn't look like studio-quality pics -_-. Well atleast I tried! I think I need more equipments like Falcon eyes(which is muthafucking expensive), Translucent umbrella, Lightstand, Umbrella adapter and more FML. 


But I think the result is quite satisfying already :D

THE DRAMA

AAAND Finally. I'm going to share "THE DRAMA"

It's really hard for me to post this but I just had to -_-

So....here it goes:

Ever since the start of the 2nd sem I've been ranting about how my grades in Math are getting lower and lower. I thought everyone in the class gets the same scores so I dun need to worry. Until I got this:

Almost fainted the moment I saw this. You got it all right. I FAILED IN MATH(TRIGO). And I'm out in Architecture :(

I totally didn't see this coming :(

I worked really hard that sem(You can see in other subjects that I'm quite fair leh)

AND I AM SO TIRED OF BLAMING MYSELF!


I'M SO SICK OF PEOPLE BLAMING ME!

I'm sick and tired of it!

I'M SERIOUSLY SO SICK AND TIRED OF IT!!!

People had been telling me that College Professors shouldn't be blamed when College students get low grades because it's really normal for some of them to be lazy and not to teach sometimes. But I'm so FREAKING TIRED OF BEING BLAMED! Can't we college students blame our professors sometimes?And now it's time for me to blame someone else so that people will finally realize my point. To think about it, my Math prof. was SOMEHOW one of the reason why I failed. 

17 IN OUR CLASS WAS OUT BECAUSE OF HER ALONE! LET'S START WITH THE FACT THAT SHE'S THE MOST STRICT TEACHER THAT WE EVER HAD! AND ALL BECAME WORSE IN 2ND SEM WHEN HER TUMMY WAS ALREADY BIG! ALL SHE DID WAS TO GIVE US HAND-OUTS THEN ANNOUNCE THAT WE WILL HAVE QUIZ/BOARD-WORK NEXT MEETING AND DIDN'T EVEN CARE TO TEACH! OH YEAH SHE'S ASKING US IF WE HAVE QUESTIONS, IN A MOODY AND ANGRY WAY! AND EVERYONE OF US WAS JUST SO AFRAID OF ASKING BECAUSE SHE'S ALWAYS MAD NO MATTER WHAT! WTF MAX! PLUS SHE'S ALMOST ALWAYS ABSENT(ONLY COMES AT SCHOOL TO GIVE QUIZZES! SIAO EH!) SERIOUSLY IF HER EXCUSE WAS BECAUSE SHE'S PREGNANT THEN WHY NOT REST AT HOME AND GET A SUBSTITUTE RIGHT? PRETTY GOOD IDEA RIGHT? TOO LATE. I ALREADY FAILED. I CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

Moral of the story: Even if you are that intelligent and hard-working

 but your teacher/professors are like this(the terror ones), there's

 STILL a chance for you to fail :(

so what's next for me??

I'm leaving UST.

I mean I don't like Architecture in the first place. I WAS FORCED OK. My dad wants me to become an Engineer or an Architect or even an Entrepreneur. And you should know that if you're Japanese(or atleast have Japanese blood) that the father is the king of the family and you MUST always obey your Dad. However he also promised me that he'll allow me to study my dream course(Multimedia arts) after I graduate Engineering/Architecture/Entrepreneurship :D


Until I fell inlove with UST. One of the prettiest campus ever! So proud that I have at least experienced to be a Thomasian for once! I also fell inlove with the course itself. I never knew that designing structures would be quite fun! And I also did my best in Architecture.


If it wasn't because of Math I will definitely stay.


Can't count the sleepless nights already O_O. Also all the meals that I skipped because of doing plates(which caused a terrible ulcer). Geez all those efforts put to waste. But...I think God has other plans for me.

I will miss my classmates so much :(

I will also miss wearing the arki uniform :(

And to my schoolmates in UST. I guess you won't be seeing me in the coming school year :(

Persona 3

I really don't get readers...

If you blog everyday, people will say you have no life.

If you don't blog everyday, people will say you're running out of ideas.

And I AM OBVIOSLY NOT RUNNING OUT OF IDEAS HOY! I just don't have time to blog everyday coz I'm always not at home or I'm very busy! 
I actually just got home from one of my friend's 18th birthday debut! Too tired -_-

Because of that I shall update my blog occasionally from now on........before classes starts again FML

SO ANYWAY BACK TO THE SUBJECT..

Today I'm going to blog about one of the most awesome game I played this summer. And no, not in PS3 but in PSP!

I don’t know if you guys played Persona 3 on psp, it’s a SUPER great RPG. It's actually a PS2 game back in 2006(I think?) then they revived it last year for the PSP version. And the story of the game is super cool! Played alot of it during this vacation LOL.

The story of Persona 3 takes place in a 900 CE Japanese city called Iwatodai (巖戸台), built and funded by the Kirijo Corporation. Experiments carried out ten years ago created the Dark Hour, a period of time that exists between one day and the next. During this time, most people are transmogrified into coffins and are not aware of the Dark Hour; however, there is a select group of people who are. The Dark Hour bends reality; Gekkoukan High School, where most of the characters attend school during the day, becomes a huge labyrinthine tower called Tartarus, and beasts known as Shadows roam the area, preying on the minds of those still conscious. The Shadows leave their victims in near-catatonic states outside of the Dark Hour. To investigate and learn about the Dark Hour, Shadows, and Tartarus, the "Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad", or SEES, was created. SEES is a group of high-schoolers capable of summoning beings known as Personas to combat Shadows. The Persona 3 instruction manual describes Personas as being "a second soul that dwells deep within a person's heart. It is an entirely different personality that emerges when a person is confronted with something from outside his world." Persona-users usually summon their Persona by firing a gun-like object called an Evoker at their head.

Haha! Thanks wikipedia! Get the story? What I freaking love about this game is that it has this anime-like feeling. 

Like studying for and taking exams, making friends, and hooking up(ehem, there's also love scenes WTF). Sure, the main storyline is great, with cool plot twists here and there, but the best part is the interactions between the main character and his dorm mates, teachers, and fellow students. See, in order to strengthen your ability to create Persona, you have to establish Social Links with people, one for each of the Tarot Arcana. You establish Social Links by making friends, and grow the links by talking to and hanging out with them. Persona 3 basically forces you to interact with the NPCs throughout the game, managing relationships and your personal development, making the game more of a relationship sim than a traditional RPG.


PLUS! I LOOOOOOVE THEIR SOUNDTRACK! Ok here's the screenshots from Gamespot.com:

Unlike traditional RPGs like Final Fantasy, you can actually flirt on people in this one. Haha!

And at midnight they turn into cool group of high-schoolers who fight big Cheebye Monsters!

I got so carried away in the storyline of Persona 3. Like I said, it's like watching anime while playing videogame at the same time. I even felt sad when I finished the game coz the main character died -__-

Meh don't let looks deceive you. It looks like one of those fake China-made device. But it's actually the most advanced handheld machine ever! No more iPhone/iPod touch/3DS in your life coz this also got freaking multi-touch touchscreen!! And the graphics! Almost like the PS3 one! Don't forget it also has two cameras(front and back) for vanity reasons, I guess? 

I am so going to get this for my birthday present this year. Haha

How will the world end?

This may come across as weird, but the thought of how our world will come to an end one day crosses my mind quite frequently.. I mean everyone needs to be curious lah. When or how will the world end.

I can't really help it, since every other movie is about war, apocalyptic zombies, etc.

Will there be a crazy disease that transforms us into zombie-like creatures, and eventually killing us all?

...Or will there be a natural disaster that will consume / destroy us all?

Maybe aliens will come and make us surrender our planet and be slaves for them!

I suddenly had this feeling that it MIGHT happen after I had this weird and epic dream last week.

It was me and a group of friends. So they went to Singapore to have vacation and to visit me. And they came to our house to have lunch and while the food is being prepared I was like bragging MAX about how freaking nice it is to live in SG. I told them how safe this place is, the awesome foods, late night karaoke, NIGHTLIFE, how HI-TECH is it here. And finally I mentioned that this country is very lucky when it comes to natural disasters. I was like, "Ooh Singapore never gets earthquakes, landslides, tsunamis, forest fires, floods, volcano eruptions and other freak of nature disasters! This country is so protected by a cluster of surrounding neighbor country and islands that this is pretty much protected from any catastrophe ever happening to us except world war 3. You guys will love it here!" 


Right after I said that the ground started shaking like MAD.


At first it was funny coz it happened right after I explained to them that there are NO EARTHQUAKES here. Well, which is true. And we even had laughs that time. Until debris and rocks started falling down WTF

I realized that it's a serious earthquake already.
"HOLY SHIAT! RUN THE FUCK OFF NOW!" I yelled. So we ran outside the house and saw all of the tall buildings collapsing! And take note that the ground was still shaking that time.

Seriously I was so scared and I dunno what to do! It's like the real thing OMG

Where's my family that time?!? Why is the earthquake not stopping?!? ASDFGHKJLKSDHQ Is this what they call the "Judgement day?!? And why did one of my friend cut her limbs off WTF?!?


Then lavas started coming out from nowhere!! All the people started running like crazy everywhere until I tripped down and finally woke up.




THIS IS FUCKING SCARY MAN LIKE SERIOUSLY!


After that I realized that it MIGHT happen(IKR? WEIRD.)


Who nows when? Maybe next year? Or year after next year? Or year after that year?
Let's just hope it will not happen that early. Hopefully in the next 10,000 years. PLEASE OH PLEASE DON'T LET THE WORLD END IN AS EARLY AS 2012! PLEASE JUST DON'T LET IT END :O

But in all seriousness, I believe that if the world ever ends, (which it will by the way, sooner than all of us think) it will be because of our own doing.

With all this harm that we're doing to mother earth (global warning warming, hello!) and the fact that humans will never learn to stop being so selfish and greedy, we'll probably all die when there's another big war.

I'm a terrible uncle :(

So last month I bought this

 


All those awesome features just made me crave for one and then I excitedly bought the phone.


Today, I went out with my nephew and Mom to go to some random mall here.

Mom and I decided to go to the supermarket to buy something for my grandmother, and we decided not to ask Reilley to tag along with us because he's really restless that day. 
So I told Reilley to take one of my phones with him (I have two phone lines) so that at least if he is lost I can still contact him. So he just stayed outside the supermarket and I gave him the iphone, shown above. Because he's been using it to play games.

Predictably, the silly kid lost it. He dropped it while walking and predictably, the phone fell out of his pocket. IDK if it fell or some asshole stole it from his pocket. 

After like a couple of minutes we came back to the place where we left him and he just told me:


"IT'S GONE" 

"WHAT?!"

"HOW CAN YOU DO THAT?!" 

"WHY DID YOU DROP THE PHONE??! How can you do that? So careless!" 

"No, because I went to the toilet and when I came back it's gone in my pocket ... " 

"HOW DARE YOU SPEAK IN THAT TONE TO ME?! Like it is not your fault now is it? Whose fault is it that it disappeared?" 

"Mine." 

Heh. I didn't know what to say. And I cannot just stop hollering like that because it is very out of style so I continued to yell at him (anyway I had to vent my anger on someone) 

"So what you gonna do about it?" 

"I will pay you with my piggy bank's money." 

"Yeah, like you got enough money to pay! You think that your money can buy back the same phone?" 

*awkward silence* 

"HIYAH NEVER MIND!"

My sis messaged me on my other phone later on. 

"I will pay $900 for your phone please don't be angry with him anymore." 

This one little sentence had a tidal effect on me. Untangling the emotions, this is possibly what I felt: 

1) Injustice at being made to sound like I AM THE EVIL GUY HERE and my nephew is the victim.  
3) Guilt for Reilley's misery (the parts caused by my yelling anyway).

Later on after asking my mom how come she make it sound like he did nothing wrong and I am the one making him miserable instead of me, she said he thoroughly deserved the scolding (I felt slightly better) but she also ... 

1) Saw that he was sobbing when she reached home ... 

2) Was digging his piggy bank for cash to buy a new phone for me. 

I feel so guilty I almost died. 
It became clear lah. I was STUPID, I was. The phone is just a piece of metal, and Reilley is flesh and blood. No point getting him all upset over a silly phone. I'll apologize to him tomorrow because now he's asleep.



Meanwhile, any suggestions on what phone to get??? Seems like all the phones are so ugly nowadays. No, not android. Too common and overrated already. Anything else?
